Florida players explain whey they were all tweeting the same emoji during Chip Kelly rumors

Florida players tweeted out a string of “thinking face” emojis on Sunday.
Normally, that wouldn’t be news. But the timing was weird.
On Monday, the players explained why they tweeted out all the emojis.
Apparently, the Florida players were just having a little fun while reporters were scrambling to figure whether or not UF had met with Chip Kelly to bring him back to Gainesville as the Gators’ next head coach.
At least 29 different players fired off the tweets in quick succession, according to a report from GatorBait.net.
Here’s an example, if you’re not up to date on what the whole emoji thing looks like:

“The rumors are out there but no body really knows so we just all tweet out the emoji, thought it’d be pretty funny for us to just come together and kind of bother Twitter a little bit,” wide receiver Joshua Hammond reportedly said. “It’s been a lot of stress, a lot of things going around.
“This is something just to get our minds off of things and kinda have a little bit of fun with each other and just experience teammate and bonding a little bit.”
Linebacker David Reese echoed that sentiment.
“We were all at dinner, just sitting down,” Reese said. “I guess someone sent a tweet talking about another coach, so we were like ‘man, we’re tired with this, so let’s just have a little fun with it.’ But that was about it.
“So I hope Gator Country’s not too mad at us.”
