A pair of freshmen Florida receivers will only face misdemeanor charges for a BB gun fight in on-campus housing this summer.

Tyrie Cleveland and Rick Wells were initially charged with damaging property worth more than 1,000 dollars, which is a third-degree felony, and shooting a missile inside of an occupied dwelling, a second-degree felony, after the July 15 incident.

Those charges have been downgraded to first-degree misdemeanor charges for criminal mischief, according to the Orlando Sentinal. Per the Sentinel, State Attorney Bill Cervone said the two players caused a little less than 1,000 dollars in total damage.

Jim McElwain confirmed at his press conference on Monday that both freshmen will be available to play this weekend against Kentucky after serving a one-game suspension.
