Florida hires Georgia recruiting director to Billy Napier’s staff

As Billy Napier continues to build his initial staff as Florida head coach, he has added a member of Georgia’s recruiting department.
The Gators on Thursday announced that Katie Turner, formerly the director of recruiting operations for the Bulldogs, will join Napier in Gainesville as the football program’s assistant athletic director of recruiting strategy. Turner was with Georgia for a pair of seasons.
Napier and Turner first worked together in 2013 as Napier was the wide receivers coach at Alabama. Turner graduated in 2016 but served in the Tide’s football recruiting department while attending the university.
Following 2 seasons with the Buffalo Bills, Turner returned to the college ranks as Napier hired her as the on-campus recruiting director for Louisiana football. In 2020, she was hired to the same position at Georgia, where she reunited with another familiar face from Tuscaloosa in Kirby Smart.
