Former Florida standouts Jabar Gaffney and Chris Leak along with Georgia’s Richard Seymour and Rex Robinson will be inducted into the Florida-Georgia Game Hall of Fame on Oct. 30 as part of this year’s rivalry weekend in Jacksonville, Florida.

“We are honored to recognize this very deserving class of inductees,” said Dave Herrell, Sports & Entertainment Officer, City of Jacksonville. “The Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame is an important event for Jacksonville to showcase the tradition and excellence of one of the best rivalries in collegiate athletics.”

One of the most prolific quarterbacks in high school football history, Leak was a former five-star recruit who went on to start all four seasons at Florida with much success. The two-time captain helped the Gators reach the SEC Championship game as a junior and followed it up with a BCS National Championship in 2007.

Leak exited Florida as the program’s all-time leader in passing yards (11,213).

A former SEC Freshman of the Year, Gaffney was one of Steve Spurrier’s top playmakers during two seasons in the early 2000s, recording 138 catches for 2,375 yards and 27 touchdowns in just 23 career games. He went on to play 11 seasons in the NFL.

Seymour was a two-time All-SEC defensive lineman in Athens before winning three Super Bowls with the New England Patriots as a first-round pick. He’s also a member of New England’s 50th anniversary team and the NFL All-2000s decade squad.

A three-time All-SEC standout at Georgia, Robinson earned All-American honors during the Bulldogs’ 1980 national championship season as the nation’s best kicker.
