It’s safe to say The Swamp made an impression on Nick Saban.

On Wednesday night, Saban mentioned the Florida Week 3 crowd in the opening statement of his post-practice press conference. Saban wants to see Alabama fans create a similarly hostile environment in Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday when Ole Miss comes to Tuscaloosa.

“When we played down in Florida, I mean it was really, really tough on our team. And you could tell. So hopefully we can make it a little bit that way for (Ole Miss),” Saban said of the crowd. “We’re just excited to be playing in a big game at home in our stadium against a good team, and hopefully, our fans, our players and everybody will have great passion and enthusiasm for this game.”

Like the Alabama-Florida game, UA-Ole Miss is set to be Saturday’s 3:30 p.m. ET “SEC on CBS” showcase game of the week.
