Florida DL Taven Bryan had an excellent junior season, even as the Gators struggled mightily all year long.

Bryan recorded 37 total tackles (six for a loss) and four sacks, drawing some attention from NFL scouts.

Now, he’s officially declaring for the 2018 NFL Draft, forgoing his senior year of eligibility to enter the professional ranks. He announced his decision on Twitter on Monday afternoon, issuing a heartfelt thank you to Gator Nation:

Many expect Bryan to be the first Florida player selected in the upcoming draft, especially since teams are always looking for more defensive linemen.

In three years in Gainesville, Bryan recorded 62 tackles, 10.5 tackles for a loss and 5.5 sacks. He has an interception and two fumble recoveries to his name.

Where he gets selected remains to be seen, but the 6-5, 293-pound lineman is sure to draw plenty of attention in the coming months.
