Todd Golden sets injury outlook for Alex Condon, Sam Alexis

Todd Golden saw his Florida squad rise to No. 2 in the country on Monday with the latest AP Top 25 dropping. However, the Gators are expected to be without 2 key contributors for a while as SEC play begins to wind down.
On Monday, Golden set the injury timeline for forwards Alex Condon and Sam Alexis at roughly 10-14 days before returning. Both players did not play against South Carolina with Florida cruising to an 88-67 win.
Condon had appeared in all 24 games before missing Saturday’s action, averaging 10.6 points and leading the team in rebounding (7.8 per game) and shot-blocking (1.4 per game). Alexis has appeared in 23 games and averages 4.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in just over 12 minutes per game.
Even if that duo hits the shorter 10-day time period, that would put them at missing Florida’s next 3 games against Oklahoma, LSU and Georgia. However, the bigger stretch for the Gators involves the final 3 games of the season against ranked opponents in No. 7 Texas A&M, No. 4 Alabama and No. 24 Ole Miss.
At this point, Florida is 2 games behind SEC-leading Auburn, so the league title is not entirely out of the question. The Gators also hold the head-to-head tie-breaker over Auburn if it should come to that for the No. 1 overall seed in the SEC Tournament.
There’s still a lot of basketball left to be played, and the Florida betting apps will have the latest odds for every game all season long.
