UCF updates Gainesville billboard trolling Florida after Gasparilla Bowl win

Ahead of the 2021 season, UCF put up 31 billboards in Florida and the Atlanta area promoting the Knights as the “future of college football,” words used by Gus Malzahn in his opening press conference, listing the mileage to Orlando. After December’s Gasparilla Bowl, Central Florida has updated its Gainesville billboard.

The billboard features a photo from Knights wide receiver Ryan O’Keefe’s 54-yard touchdown in the 29-17 win over Florida.

The teams have 3 future regular-season meetings scheduled for Oct. 5, 2024 (Gainesville), Sep. 14, 2030 (Orlando), and Sep. 3, 2033 (Gainesville).
