Zyon Pullin, star transfer from UC Riverside, reportedly reveals SEC commitment

Zyon Pullin is a two-time All-Big West performer and key guard transfer this offseason. On Wednesday, Pullin reportedly landed on an SEC transfer destination.
According to Jeff Borzello with ESPN, Pullin has committed to Florida for the 2023-24 season. Pullin’s decision came down to the Gators and LSU and was the best guard still in the transfer portal.

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 195 pounds, Pullin appeared in 109 games (77 starts) during his 4-year career at UC Riverside. During the 2022-23 season, he took his game to another level while averaging a career-high 18.3 points on 49% shooting from the floor.
For his career, Pullin has averaged 12 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists while shooting 47% from the floor. He’s also a career 35% shooter from 3-point range and shot 39% from deep a season ago.
Head coach Todd Golden looked to the transfer portal heavily this offseason for some key pieces to the roster heading into the 2023-24 season. PG Walter Clayton Jr. (Iona), PF Tyrese Samuel (Seton Hall), center Micah Handlogten (Marshall) and PF EJ Jarvis (Yale) are other transfer pieces to join the Gators via the portal.
