Adam Anderson’s attorney reportedly asks for dismissal of rape charges against former Georgia defender

Adam Anderson was arrested in late 2021 on a rape charge stemming from an October incident in Athens.
The former Georgia defender has yet to be indicted on the rape charge, though, and now his attorney is taking action.
Per a report from OnlineAthens.com, Steve Sadow is asking for the charge to be dismissed:
Sadow argues an NFL career for Anderson is “on indefinite hold,” in the meantime.
“We need the case to either get into court or be dismissed,” Sadow said in an interview. “This is a mechanism that may achieve that purpose.”
Sadow made a claim that the only reason the case hasn’t been heard yet is because prosecutors don’t have enough evidence:
“There is no legitimate reason why the District Attorney’s Office has not proceeded to prosecute this case, other than the inability of the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt,” the motion says.
Anderson held a private workout for 17 NFL teams on Tuesday, according to the OnlineAthens report. The 2022 NFL Draft takes place from April 28 to April 30.
