The College GameDay Podcast always predicts the outcomes of each big college football game. On the latest episode ahead of Week 10, the crew discussed the Florida-Georgia rivalry game.

Entering the matchup, the No. 2 Bulldogs are a heavy favorite. The team is favored by 14.5 points per DraftKings over the Gators at the neutral-site game.

Rece Davis, Stanford Steve, and Pete Thamel all see this as a one-sided affair. The 3 hosts all picked Georgia to win the game and improve to 5-1 in SEC play.

“I just don’t see Florida having the ability to move the ball against this Georgia defense,” explained Thamel. “It’s hard to envision anything but Georgia cruising.”

The lone blemish on the Bulldogs’ resume is a loss to Alabama. The team bounced back into the spotlight, however, after beating the then-No. 1 Texas Longhorns in Week 8.

Steve mentioned the stakes of this game for Florida, which still has to play Texas, LSU, and Ole Miss.

“I so wish Graham Mertz was playing in this game given what’s at stake for Florida,” said the analyst. “It’s just a shame.”

With the Gators at 4-3, getting to the 6-win mark to become bowl-eligible will be incredibly difficult. The Bulldogs also have a tough remaining slate with games against No. 19 Ole Miss and No. 7 Tennessee looming.

These teams have played each other 101 times in history. The Bulldogs have 55 wins, the Gators have 44, and the teams have tied twice.

The 2024 edition of this rivalry matchup will kick off from EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
