Georgia DE Malik Herring is in Mobile, Alabama, this week for the Senior Bowl, but it seems his week has come to an early end.

After suffering an injury during Wednesday’s practice, Herring walked off the field. On Thursday, he confirmed the worst.

Per UGASports.com, Herring confirmed that he had torn his right ACL, but he said he’d be back:

“It’s pretty bad—it’s an ACL,” Herring said. “But don’t worry, I’ll be back.”

This past season, Herring recorded 20 tackles (4.5 for a loss), 2.0 sacks and 2 pass breakups. This injury will hurt Herring’s ability to raise his draft stock. We’ll see where he ends up going in the 2021 NFL Draft in April.
