Georgia has completely erased what was once a 28-point deficit against Alabama on Saturday night in Tuscaloosa.

The Bulldogs trailed 28-0 in the second quarter and 30-7 at the half, but slowly chipped away at Alabama’s lead until it emphatically took their first lead of the game with a 67-yard touchdown pass from Carson Beck to Dillon Bell.

Here’s a replay of the big moment that gave UGA a 34-33 lead:

Georgia struggled mightily on both sides of the ball in the first half, but the Bulldogs seemingly fixed their issues at the break. They’ve out-scored Alabama 27-3 in the second half.

Alabama has come up nearly empty on all 5 of its second-half drives. Those drives have resulted in 4 punts and 1 field goal.

Georgia is looking for its first win over Alabama in Tuscaloosa since 2007. Georgia coach Kirby Smart is also in search of just his second-ever win over the Crimson Tide as UGA’s head coach.

Alabama has won 8 of the last 9 meetings in this series.
