Georgia is headed back to the SEC Championship Game.

The SEC announced that news late Saturday night following Texas A&M’s loss to Auburn at Jordan-Hare Stadium. That result, coupled with Alabama’s shocking loss to Oklahoma earlier in the evening, means the Bulldogs are Atlanta-bound no matter what happens in Week 14:

Georgia is finished with its regular-season SEC slate for the season. The Bulldogs beat UMass on Saturday 59-21 and will battle in-state rival Georgia Tech next weekend.

With so much carnage in the SEC this weekend, Georgia has a clear path to the SEC title game — and thus the College Football Playoff — despite sustaining 2 losses during the regular season.

The Bulldogs will await the winner of Texas vs. Texas A&M in the SEC Championship Game. The Longhorns and Aggies will meet next weekend in College Station, with the winner set to battle Georgia in Atlanta on Dec. 7. This will be the first matchup between rivals Texas and Texas A&M since the Aggies left the Big 12 over a decade ago.

The 2024 SEC Championship Game is set to kick off at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 7. The winner of the game will earn an automatic berth into this year’s College Football Playoff.
