Wednesday was an incredible day for 3-star Georgia wide receiver signee Jackson Meeks (Phenix, City, Al).

Meeks signed with Alabama on the first day of the Early Signing Period, and his mother also gave him a new car — a Chevrolet Impala.

“I am so overjoyed,” his mother told WRBL Sports reporter Rex Castillo Wednesday. “I wanted to do this. This had to happen for him. He is such an amazing kid. He deserves it all. I am such a proud mom.”

Castillo shared the video on Twitter.

Meeks committed to Georgia on September 8, 2020, and he stuck with it.The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Meeks was rated as the nation’s No. 101 wide receiver and the state of Alabama’s No. 25 overall prospect for the class of 2021, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
