James Cook is coming off a season that saw the former Georgia standout became one of the best running backs in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills. He finished the year with 1,009 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns, which was tied for the lead league.

He was able to complement the play of quarterback Josh Allen, who won the MVP award for the first time in his career. Those 2 played a huge role in the Bills having a great season, as they made it to the AFC Championship before losing to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Whenever someone has a season like Cook, that player is going to want to start talk about getting paid more money. Cook took his claim to social media, saying he wants to 2 be a top paid RB in the NFL.

In the post, Cook pinned on Instagram that he wanted to make $15 million a year. If he were to get that contract, he would be the 2nd highest paid running back in the NFL. Only Christian McCaffrey makes more, as he makes $19 million.

The Bills have 1 of the worst salary cap situations, as they are currently sitting at 29th overall in cap space available. In today’s NFL, teams are able to clear money and set themselves up for the future. With Saquon Barkley, Derrick Henry and Josh Jacobs having such big seasons for new teams, teams like the Bills may be more likely to keep their guy.
