After just one start at Georgia, JT Daniels projected in first round of 2021 NFL mock draft
It did not take long for Georgia quarterback JT Daniels to impress one NFL Draft analyst in the signal-caller’s lone start for the Bulldogs.
Daniels was 28-of-38 for 401 yards and four touchdowns in last week’s win over Mississippi State, and is already being projected as a first-round pick in a mock draft by CBS Sports.
The draft has Daniels being taken with the No. 16 overall pick to the Chicago Bears, whose quarterback situation has been incredibly dire in 2020 with the ineffectiveness of both Mitch Trubisky and Nick Foles.
The mock has another SEC quarterback being taken in the first round, with Kyle Trask projected to go to the Patriots with the No. 13 overall pick.
Georgia fans will likely love to see this, but also have an element of frustration as Daniels had to sit out for six games while the Bulldogs dealt with quarterback issues.
If the former 5-star prospect and USC transfer rounds out the season with great performances in the last two or three games, UGA fans will be left wondering what could have been.
