Before Alabama mounted a thrilling comeback against Georgia in the National Championship Game, the Bulldogs needed a Herculean effort just to reach that contest.
That’s because Oklahoma gave them all they could handle, forcing the game into double overtime before Georgia ultimately pulled off a thrilling 54-48 victory in the Rose Bowl.
Now, that game has been officially immortalized, as the plaque with the score has been added to the Rose Bowl’s Court of Champions, as you can see below:

Winning the Granddaddy of Them All is a great honor, but the Dawgs would have liked to follow it up with a title game victory.
It was still a heck of a season for the Bulldogs, and one that may just set the foundation for a championship of their own in the very near future.
