Miami OC Shannon Dawson trolls Georgia offense during sluggish SEC Championship performance

Miami offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson may not be on the sideline during Championship Saturday, but he’s keeping an eye on the action as the Hurricanes await their postseason assignment.
Dawson had some comments on the SEC Championship Game between Georgia and Texas at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta that will rankle Bulldog fans. The Dawgs, at one point, had just 9 yards of total offense against the Longhorns.

The Bulldogs haven’t done much against the Texas defense in the first half. That’s an opposite of what happened on October 19, when they defeated the Longhorns 30-15. They took a 23-0 lead in the first half of that one but held on despite a 15-point third quarter from Texas. During the SEC Championship Game, though, Carson Beck — and the entire Bulldogs offense, for that matter — have been a non-factor.
The Longhorns haven’t been able to take advantage of the Dawgs’ offensive miscues despite holding a comfortable margin in offensive yardage. There’s still a half of football to play, though, so we’ll see if that changes in the third and fourth quarters.
Still, Bulldogs fans know they’re likely College Football Playoff bound and that the Canes will be watching from home.
