Pat McAfee pulled a quick 180 on Georgia fans at the SEC Championship on College GameDay.
The crew was making their picks for the championship games, and it was McAfee’s turn. He called the Dawgs, leading UGA fans in attendance at SEC fanfare to believe McAfee was picking No. 1 Georgia.
McAfee then switched things up and picked Alabama. He was met with shock and awe along with some boos from Georgia fans. Even guest picker Theo Von was stunned by the move.
“29 straight wins, back-to-back national champions. What’s that coming down the track? It’s the mean machine in the red and black. Ain’t nothing finer in the land then a drunk, obnoxious Georgia fan. Roll dawgs, sic ’em! Give me Alabama!”

Nick Saban has gotten the better of Kirby Smart in the SEC Championship. Saban is 2-0 all-time against Kirby Smart in the game with wins in 2018 and 2021, looking to make it 3-0.
Smart’s squad, though, won the last meeting: the National Championship Game for the 2021 season. We’ll find out Saturday afternoon which coach wins the latest round.
