Alabama went down on Saturday, losing at Texas A&M in a tight 41-38 contest that was one of the more exciting games of the year.
Now, the Tide are out of SEC Network analyst Paul Finebaum’s current top 4 rankings.
On Sunday morning, Finebaum joined SportsCenter to rank his top-4 squads. As you can see below, he thinks Georgia will be the unanimous No. 1 team:
1. Georgia Bulldogs: “Georgia should be the unanimous No. 1 team. Remember, they are using a backup quarterback.”
2. Iowa Hawkeyes: “What an incredible scene and win for them against Penn State.”
3. Cincinnati Bearcats: “You can talk about their schedule, but you can’t keep the Bearcats out.”
4. Oklahoma Sooners: “It’s easy to beat up on Oklahoma, but they continue to win.”
Alabama didn’t make the cut. But, the Tide can still win out and make the Playoff. We’ll see what happens with Finebaum’s rankings this time next week.
