UGA QB commit Gunner Stockton breaks Trevor Lawrence’s Georgia HS passing TD record

Trevor Lawrence is no longer the top touchdown passer in the history of Georgia high school football. Future Georgia Bulldog Gunner Stockton broke the record on Friday night.
Stockton, a Rabun County standout, broke Lawrence’s record on a 1-yard passing score. Lawrence’s record was set from his days at Cartersville High School (2014-17).

Stockton originally committed to South Carolina on Aug. 20, 2020. After the coaching change in Columbia, Stockton backed off his pledge to the Gamecocks on Jan. 12. Later that month, he committed to UGA. Stockton is rated 4-stars, the No. 4 recruit in the state of Georgia, No. 6 quarterback and No. 61 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2022 on the 247Sports Composite.
