It was only a matter of time until Georgia RB Nick Chubb went over 4,000 career rushing yards, as he entered Saturday’s game at Vanderbilt needing only 96 yards to reach the incredible milestone.
Just before halftime, Chubb burst through the Vandy defense for a touchdown, eclipsing the 4,000-yard career mark and going over 100 yards for the game on the same play.
The 14-yard touchdown run, which you can see below, was the one that brought Chubb over the historic mark:

Chubb is the eighth SEC running back to ever reach 4,000 career yards. He’s also the second Georgia back to accomplish the feat, trailing only the legendary Herschel Walker and his 5,259 career yards.
With the touchdown, Chubb also moved into second place (once again behind Walker) on Georgia’s all-time career rushing touchdowns list.
It’s been an incredible career for Chubb, and it’s not over yet, as he still has at least six and as many as nine more games to go after Saturday’s contest at Vanderbilt.
