Kentucky football added a pledge from former Arkansas offensive lineman Joshua Braun on Monday morning, the Wildcats’ 3rd transfer addition of their offseason.
Braun was a top-tier lineman for the Razorbacks, helping pave the way for Ja’Quinden Jackson and protecting for shifty QB Taylen Green. Acros the past 2 seasons Braun has allowed just 3 sacks, playing 1,625 total snaps.
Braun took a visit to Kentucky during the middle of last week.
As you can see above, Braun is a former 2nd-team All-SEC selection and has multiple years of starting experience in the SEC. Before landing at Arkansas Braun originally committed to Florida, playing 2 seasons for the Gators in a limited role.
23 of Braun’s 24 starts at Arkansas came at right guard, and he’s likely to keep his role on the interior of the offensive line with the Wildcats. Tackles are often considered to be primary pass protectors, but Kentucky still sorely needs the help along the O-line – The Wildcats’ unit ranked 116th in the country in sacks allowed this past season.
Braun is the 3rd transfer commitment of the offseason thus far for Kentucky, joining USC edge rushing transfer Sam Greene and Marshall LB Landyn Watson.
