Jonathan Givony released his 1st mock for the class on Wednesday morning and 2 members of the Wildcats’ next recruiting class were prominently featured: Justin Edwards and DJ Wagner.
Edwards is currently projected to be the No. 4 overall pick while D.J. Wagner slotted in at No. 7.

Unlike the 2023 draft where Victor Wembenyama has long been discussed as the top pick, the race for No. 1 in 2024 is still wide open. Matas Buzelis (G-League Ignite) is there now, but Edwards or Wagner could get in the mix over the next year.
Edwards is a 5-star prospect from Philadelphia. He’s the No. 2 overall prospect in the country for the class of 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Wagner is a 5-star prospect from Camden, New Jersey. He’s the No. 3 prospect in the 2023 cycle, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
Fellow incoming freshmen Aaron Bradshaw and Robert Dillingham are also included in ESPN’s mock draft at No. 28 and No. 30 overall, respectively. That means Kentucky commits make up 4 of the 14 high school seniors who are currently projected as one-and-done prospects, per ESPN.
