Kentucky’s depth at offensive tackle has taken a hit in the offseason.

At UK’s football media day Friday, Mark Stoops told reporters that he expects Nik Hall to be sidelined for 2023.

“Yeah, Nik had an injury. I think he is going to have to take a medical redshirt,” Stoops said. “There’s another tackle there that had some promise. But had an injury and is going to have a hard time coming back from that.

Sports betting in Kentucky opens next month. Here are details to take advantage of lucrative sportsbook promos and sign-up bonuses.

Hall is entering his second season with the program. From Austin, Texas, Hall played for Akins High School. He was rated 3-stars, the No. 46 offensive tackle, No. 84 Lone Star State recruit and No. 573 prospect overall in the Class of 2022.

Stoops’ staff beat out 12 other programs, including Arizona State, Colorado and Oklahoma State, to sign Hall. Last season, Hall took a redshirt season.
