When Wake Forest fired men’s basketball coach Danny Manning recently, talented big man Olivier Sarr decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Now, new coach Steve Forbes is trying to re-recruit Sarr to stay at Wake Forest. Kentucky has been rumored to have interest in Sarr, and Forbes has clearly noticed.

During a radio appearance, Forbes joked about Kentucky’s academics compared to Wake Forest:

Two years ago, Kentucky had a graduate transfer from Stanford in Reid Travis. Travis was also a big man. After having grad transfer big Nate Sestina this past season, it’s clear Kentucky likes hitting the transfer market for post players.

Sarr appeared in 30 games for Wake Forest last season, starting 15 of them. He averaged 13.7 points, 9 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per contest.
