Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers earned a 34-17 victory over new Big Ten squad UCLA on Saturday afternoon in Baton Rouge.
However, the win might have come with a steep cost on defense, as star linebacker Harold Perkins Jr. left with an apparent leg injury.
He left the game early and went to the locker room. Now LSU fans wait anxiously for news on the talented defender’s injury.
After the game against UCLA ended, Kelly spoke with reporters. He didn’t have any answers as to the severity of the injury. But Kelly did say Perkins would undergo tests and the Tigers should have more answers to questions about Perkins’ health on Monday:
Brian Kelly said Harold Perkins will undergo tests over the next two days to determine his injury and LSU should have more information Monday.

Missing Perkins for any length of time would be tough for an LSU defense that has not looked sharp at all so far in 2024.
So far in 2024, Perkins has recorded 14 tackles. He finished the 2023 season with 74 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and an interception.
