Cam Lewis developed into a key part of LSU’s secondary in 2021 after serving mostly as a backup during his first 4 years in Baton Rouge.

This season, Lewis finished fourth on the team with 54 tackles (2.5 for a loss) and 1.5 sacks. He also had 1 pass breakup and 1 forced fumble.

Ahead of the 2022 season, Lewis took to Twitter this week to announce he was forgoing a final year of eligibility and entering the 2022 NFL Draft:

Where Lewis goes in the draft remains to be seen. We’ll see if he can improve his stock over the next few months, particularly at LSU’s Pro Day.

For now, though, that’s another position that needs to be filled in LSU’s secondary as new coach Brian Kelly takes the reins of the program.
