The comeback fell short.
LSU trailed 10-0 at halftime, and 17-7 after three quarters, but the Tigers ran out of time against Troy and suffered a historic home loss.
From the LSU nine-yard line, Danny Etling found D.J. Chark for a 27-yard pass. But then Etling intercepted by Blace Brown to effectively end the game.
The Tigers fell to 3-2 on the season and play at Florida next week.
Here is some immediate reaction to the loss from fans and media.
A reminder here.
This would snap #LSU's 49-game home non-conference win streak. https://t.co/qTn4lp5yse

LSU’s last loss in a non-conference home game was 9/23/2000 vs. UAB. LSU’s head coach? Nick Saban.

Begs the question. How in the world was LSU ranked?

LSU has now lost to every FBS team in our state except South Alabama.

LSU AD Joe Aleeva would owe Orgeron $12M at year's end for a guy no one else in the country was interested in hiring..and he's still the AD.

It's kind of hilarious that Coach O got the LSU job in the first place.

LSU getting dominated up front…. personnel just not good enough

I am guessing Ed Orgeron thanks the heavens above he is in the same conference as Butch Jones.

Scheme and execution, Troy is a million miles ahead of LSU offensively. Think about that.
