“What a day. Just so many people that have helped me along the way,” Burns said after his win. “So many people to tank that are behind the scenes that people don’t realize. I owe of that to them. Man, what a fun day. I’m just really glad we were able to get it done.”
This win means he has earned an invitation to the 2022 Masters, which will be his first appearance at that event. He’ll also be invited to the PGA Championship later this year.
Burns beat out Keegan Bradley (-14), Viktor Hovland (-13), Cameron Tringale (-13), Abraham Ancer (-12), Max Homa (-10) and Vaughn Taylor (-10).
