Former LSU QB Brandon Harris spent three years in Baton Rouge, appearing in 22 games for the Tigers. His best year came in 2015 as a sophomore, when he threw for 2,165 yards and 13 touchdowns to go with six interceptions.
He finished his college career in 2017 at North Carolina, and now he’s getting into the coaching ranks.
Per a report from The Advocate, and confirmed on Twitter by Harris himself, it appears he’ll join Tom Herman’s support staff at Texas this fall:
Thankful for Coach Herman, he's been a supporter of mine for a very long time dating back to his time at Ohio State. The University of Texas has given me an opportunity of a lifetime to serve at such a special place. #ThisisTexas #family #HOOKEM https://t.co/rWqwyv2Kvk

That’s an interesting landing spot for Harris, as the Longhorns will take on LSU in Week 2. The game will be played in Austin.
Harris won’t have an on-field role for the Longhorns, but since he’s only been out of college football for a year, it’s certainly a great job to have.
