Friday night’s preseason game didn’t go according to plan for former LSU RB Spencer Ware.
In the first quarter of the Kansas City Chiefs’ third preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks, Ware had to be carted off the field after suffering what appeared to be a leg injury.
After making a six-yard catch on a pass from QB Alex Smith, Ware went down with a right knee injury and it doesn’t appear he’ll be able to return:

Ware carried the ball three times for 15 yards before the injury. He also had two catches for nine yards.
Ware will be missed if the injury is enough to keep him out for an extended period of time. Last season, he ran for 921 yards and three touchdowns and also added 33 catches for 447 yards and two scores.
The Chiefs and Seahawks were tied at 3-3 at the end of the first quarter of play in Seattle.
