Former LSU safety Jamal Adams is signing with the Detroit Lions practice squad, following his most recent stint with the Tennessee Titans. He was released by the team on Oct. 17.
Adams did not see much action in Nashville, with the Titans only playing him in just three games. He notched 4 total tackles in that time span.
Adams has been around the block at this point in his career, originally selected by the New York Jets with the sixth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons with the team, moving on next to the Seattle Seahawks after he was traded in July of 2020.

Adams saw the longest stint of his career with an NFL team there, taking the field for the Seahawks for four seasons. He signed with the Titans ahead of the 2024 season in what was ultimately a short-lived deal.
How he’s able to potentially get his feet under him in Detroit will be something to watch for the ex-LSU star, who has struggled with production over recent years despite a strong college career.
He currently holds 4 career interceptions, 21.5 sacks and 498 combined tackles, and will have a chance to become a factor once more with a Lions team that looks like it could seriously vie for a Super Bowl.
