A bet is a bet.

Former Texas basketball player and current Orlando Magic big man is owning up the Longhorns loss to an NBA legend.

Bamba made a bet with LSU great and NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal on the outcome of the Tigers-Longhorns matchup in Austin. The bet went down like this: If the Longhorns were to win, O’Neal would have to let Bamba DJ one of his shows. Shaq is now a DJ going by the name “DJ Diesel, proving he is one of the best post-career entrepreneurs in all of sports.  If the Tigers were to prevail, Bamba told O’Neal he’d cut locks off his hair.

Well as history shows, the Longhorns lost 45-38 and Bamba did also. He owed up, as you can see in the photos below. Here’s how he looked last season, before the Texas-LSU game:

And how he looks now, after the game:

Maybe Bamba has learned not to mess with Joe Burrow, who has carved up teams as he fronts the Heisman trophy race.

At least he was a good sport about it, but Shaq seems to win at everything and he did it again to the young NBA center here.
