Movement on the line: 2019 SEC Championship Game point spread has shifted since opening
It hasn’t taken long for the bettors to shift the point spread in the 2019 SEC Championship Game.
If you missed it on Sunday, LSU opened as an early 4-point favorite against Georgia in the 2019 SEC Championship Game. Once the line started to open across Las Vegas sportsbooks, the consensus opening line settled with LSU as a 6-point favorite in the game.
Two days later, LSU is now listed as a consensus 7-point favorite in the game. The over/under for total points scored in the game is 54.5 points.
Saturday’s game pits the SEC’s No. 1 scoring offense and total offense against the league’s No. 1 scoring defense and total defense. LSU also has the SEC’s No. 1 passing offense while Georgia has the SEC’s No. 1 rush defense and No. 1 pass efficiency defense.
LSU and Georgia met last season in Baton Rouge, with the Tigers winning 36-16. Georgia enters the game on a 6-game winning streak while LSU is undefeated this season.
The 2019 SEC Championship Game kicks off at 4 p.m. ET from Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The game will be broadcast nationally by CBS.
