Greg Brooks Jr. diagnosis: LSU announces latest update, ways to support

Greg Brooks Jr. had a brain tumor removed last month, and on Wednesday, LSU announced that the safety has been diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer, medulloblastoma.
The school also shared how to support Brooks through the Greg Brooks Jr. Victory Fund as he continues to battle. Brooks Jr. had emergency surgery about 2 weeks ago to remove a large brain tumor. The 5-foot-10, 187-pound Louisiana native and former Arkansas defensive back was selected as a team captain before this season.
The Brooks family, LSU Athletics, and Our Lady of the Lake Health announced today that Greg Brooks Jr. has been diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer, medulloblastoma.

Brooks started 13 games for the Tigers last season, and intercepted 2 passes along with with a sack, a forced fumble and 3 tackles for losses. He finished that season with 5 pass breakups and 66 solo or assisted tackles.
Brooks played in the first 2 games this season and was in on 8 tackles before leaving the team late last week.
Brooks has been held in high regard by Arkansas coach Sam Pittman and LSU coach Brian Kelly, as both have visited with him in the hospital in recent weeks.
