Heisman Trophy bound? Joe Burrow sets multiple single-season LSU records
Joe Burrow continues his assault on the LSU record books as the quarterback set two new all-time school records on Saturday.
Into the third quarter with LSU up 36-7 against Mississippi State in Starkville, Burrow has completed 23 of 29 passes for 315 yards and four touchdowns. Those individual numbers are nothing new as Burrow has been doing the same all season and now owns a pair of all-time LSU records.
Burrow has now thrown for 29 passing touchdowns this season, which has never been done in a single season at LSU. He is also responsible for 31 touchdowns, which has also never been done at LSU.
At this rate, there’s no chance Burrow isn’t listed as a Heisman Trophy finalist by the end of the season and if the QB leads LSU to a win over Alabama in Tuscaloosa in a few weeks, he’ll likely have the award in hand before he gets to New York for the Heisman Trophy ceremony.
A bit of history for @LSUFootball.
