Getting OL Damien Lewis from Northwest Mississippi Junior College last year was a huge boost for the LSU Tigers in 2018.
Lewis arrived on campus and immediately locked down the starting job at right guard, starting all 13 of the Tigers’ games in 2018.
On Monday — the deadline for players to declare for the 2019 NFL Draft — Lewis announced that he’d be returning to school for his senior season:
For everyone that keeps asking yes I am returning to LSU for 2019 season #GeauxTigers

The Tigers are losing senior Garrett Brumfield to the NFL, but should return the rest of their starters after Lewis’s announcement.
That’s good news for QB Joe Burrow, who will now get a second season behind most of the LSU linemen.
