CBS chose an interesting color to represent LSU on the score banner Saturday.

CBS traditionally uses one of each team’s dominant colors to display down and distance when that team has the ball. Florida was shown with its dominate shade of blue, but CBS decided to use yellow for LSU’s down and distance.

The decision has made for a confusing afternoon for many fans. The down and distance in yellow is also shown where CBS indicates if there is a flag on the play or not. As a result, it looked like there was a flag on every play that LSU ran Saturday.

Here is a look at the score bar with LSU’s yellow in the down and distance bar:

Many fans on Twitter shared in the confusion:

Maybe purple would have been a better choice for LSU.
