LSU reveals alternate uniform combo for home finale against Oklahoma

LSU won’t be in the College Football Playoff and the season hasn’t really gone the way the Tigers wanted it to in Brian Kelly’s third season at the helm.

Just three weeks ago, the Tigers debuted in the first rankings from the CFP committee at No. 15 with a real shot at cracking the 12-team field. But since then, the Tigers lost at home to Alabama in a game where they looked uncompetitive, and then fell on the road at Florida. LSU righted the ship somewhat last week with a 24-17 win over Vanderbilt.

There is, however, a chance for LSU to end the regular season on a positive note and put itself in a position for placement in a decent non-CFP bowl game. LSU hosts Oklahoma on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN, and will be wearing a slick uniform combination when it takes the field in Death Valley for the final time in 2024.

LSU will sport white helmets, purple jerseys and white pants against the Sooners.

Last week, LSU wore gold jerseys in its win over Vanderbilt, the first time they had worn gold jerseys since 2016. This outfit against Oklahoma will be LSU’s sixth different uniform combination in 12 games this season.
