LSU lands commitment from in-state standout Patrick Jenkins

LSU landed its 18th commitment for the class of 2020 Monday.
Three-star DT Patrick Jenkins (Marrero, La) committed to the Tigers over offers from Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas A&M and TCU, among others. Jenkins is coming off of a visit to TCU over the weekend. He earned an LSU offer for his performance during LSU’s football camp.
Jenkins is ranked as the nation’s No. 46 DT and the state of Louisiana’s No. 23 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Following the 6-foot-2, 285-pound lineman’s commitment, LSU has verbal pledges from five different DL, including three DTs.
He shared his commitment via Twitter:
