Yes, Daniels completed 26 of his 35 pass attempts for 209 yards, 2 touchdowns and 0 interceptions, but he didn’t look comfortable until the final 99-yard drive in the fourth quarter.
A big key to this game will be getting the ball to star WR Kayshon Boutte, who finished the Florida State game with only 2 catches for 20 yards and was visibly frustrated on the sidelines. Coach Brian Kelly has said things are fine between him and Boutte (and the team), but Boutte will want more opportunities to make plays.
Another key will be to get the running game going. Daniels ran 16 times for 114 yards against the Seminoles, but the rest of the LSU rushing attack combined for 13 carries for 39 yards. Noah Cain had 7 of those carries for 23 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, the Tigers should be able to rotate plenty of guys into the game against an offense that should be overmatched by LSU’s depth and talent.

This is a great chance for a get-right game for the Tigers. Brian Kelly should easily pick up his first win in Baton Rouge. If the starters aren’t out of this game midway through the third quarter, something has likely gone horribly wrong.
This will be an opportunity for plenty of young LSU players to get some work. Daniels and company will build a big lead early and the Tigers will coast to a convincing victory over an overmatched FCS foe.
