Joe Burrow makes first statement since serious knee injury
By Sydney Hunte
Published:
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow had his week 11 appearance against the Washington Football Team cut short after sustaining an apparent injury to his left knee in the 3rd quarter.
He was then carted off the field and was replaced by A.J. McCarron.
While we will have to wait until after the game to find out the extent of the injury to Burrow as well as receiving official word on how long he will be out, the former LSU star may have signaled that his season is over.
He posted a message on Twitter not long after leaving the game:
Thanks for all the love. Can’t get rid of me that easy. See ya next year✊

It would be a disappointing end to what has been a terrific rookie season for Burrow. If what the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft has shown through his first handful of games is an indication of what to expect throughout his career, Bengals fans—and NFL fans—will have a great deal to look forward to.
