The maturity that Fournette showed at LSU undoubtedly came from having to grow up fast. A father for the first time as a college freshman, the former number-one recruit had to juggle both the football hopes of his home state and the responsibility of raising a daughter before he turned 19.
Fournette, who has had the appearance and the mentality of a grown man for a long time (minus the braces) will now finally be able to get paid like one. After posting a 4.51 40-yard dash time while weighing in at 240 pounds, he all but guaranteed a first-round selection in this April’s draft.
After the signing bonus kicks in, the former LSU Tiger’s Instagram and Twitter will no doubt be full of adorable photos of his kids enjoying the NFL lifestyle.
