The quarterback depth at LSU took a hit Monday morning when Lindsey Scott announced he was going to transfer from the Tigers.

Now, we know where the former 3-star recruit is heading: East Mississippi Community College

Known by many as “Last Chance U,” the football team is the centerpiece of the popular Netflix documentary series. The Lions are the former home to Ole Miss standouts Chad Kelly and Bo Wallace. In an odd twist, Scott’s QB coach at EMCC will be Bo Wallace this season.

Coach Buddy Stephens broke the transfer news according to Ross Dellenger of The Advocate.

Stephens is excited to be adding a quality quarterback to his already loaded roster.

“Any time that you’re able to add the Gatorade Player of the Year from Louisiana, you’ve made your team better,” Stephens said. “Savvy young man who has a tremendous head on his shoulders. He’ll be good at what we do.”

The Lions coach isn’t holding back to what he thinks Scott can do as one of his new quarterbacks.

“Last nine years, we’ve had eight All-American quarterbacks,” Stephens said. “We don’t expect anything different. He’s from the same mold and type as our previous guys.”

Scott redshirted at LSU in 2016, giving him four years of eligibility remaining starting in 2017. Scott confirmed the news Tuesday with the following tweet:
