As Les Miles continues to add to his new coaching staff at Kansas, he’s adding some guys he has experience working with.

Per a report from FootballScoop.com, the latest hire is Mike Ekeler, who Miles knows from his time at LSU.

Ekeler was most recently on Larry Fedora’s North Carolina staff, but Fedora was fired following the 2018 season:

Mike Ekeler, who worked with Les Miles at LSU, has joined the staff as special teams coordinator. Ekeler most recently coached the linebackers at North Carolina and previously served as defensive coordinator at North Texas.

Ekeler has never served as a special teams coordinator before, so it’ll be interesting to see how he fares in Lawrence.

Miles has experience with him, though, so it seems he thinks his former LSU assistant can handle the job.
