LSU coach Ed Orgeron made his first change to his coaching staff shortly after he took over as the full-time head coach last weekend, firing special teams coordinator Bradley Dale Peveto.

According to NOLA.com, Coach O may be targeting one of his former USC colleagues for the open position.

The report states that John Baxter, who coached with Orgeron at USC from 2010 to 2013, is near the top of Coach O’s list.

Baxter has also made stops at Fresno State, Michigan, Arizona, Maryland and Tulane in his coaching career.
