Report: Mutual interest between Les Miles, Arizona for open coaching vacancy

It is being reported that Les Miles is in communication with Arizona about the open head coaching position with mutual interest between the two parties.

Arizona fired Rich Rodriguez on Tuesday after it was reported that Rodriguez was facing a claim of workplace misconduct.

While nothing official has been announced, longtime Ole Miss Rivals contributor Neal McCready reported on Twitter that Miles is in “real communication” with Arizona on Wednesday and noted that Miles wants to return to coaching.

Miles was fired by LSU mid-season in 2016 and did not coach in 2017. His name was mentioned in rumors for multiple job openings throughout the final month of the season, but nothing has progressed. It will be interesting to see how this one plays out.

Hearing Les Miles is in real communication with University of Arizona today. Both parties are mutually interested. Miles wants to get back on the field.
