Shareef O’Neal put together some nice games for LSU this past season, especially when Darius Days was dealing with an injury.

But, he was never able to crack the rotation under Will Wade, and now it seems he’s going to try to find more playing time elsewhere as Matt McMahon takes over in Baton Rouge.

Per Travis Branham of 247Sports, O’Neal has decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal:

O’Neal originally signed with Arizona out of high school, but decommitted after an FBI probe into the Wildcats’ program. He then spent a year at UCLA before heading to LSU for 2 years. Now, he’ll be looking for a new team in 2022-23.

O’Neal appeared in 14 games for the Tigers this past season, averaging 2.9 points and 2.1 rebounds per contest.
